1. What AuPairTax Is

AuPairTax is self-preparation tax software. It helps you fill out your own US tax forms. It is not a tax advisory service, CPA firm, or law firm. By using AuPairTax, you are preparing your own tax return.

2. No Tax Advice

Nothing on this site constitutes tax, legal, or financial advice. The information provided is for general guidance only. For advice specific to your situation, consult a qualified tax professional.

3. Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide and the tax forms you file. You should review all generated forms before signing and mailing them.

4. Accuracy

While we strive to keep our tax calculations and form generation accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that the output is free of errors. Tax laws change, and edge cases may not be covered.

5. Limitation of Liability

AuPairTax is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to penalties, interest, or additional taxes assessed by the IRS or any other authority.

6. Cost

AuPairTax is free to use. Donations are optional and do not create any additional obligations on our part.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of AuPairTax is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, including your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) if you are located in the EU/EEA.

8. Consent to Data Processing

By providing your personal information through the chat, you consent to its processing for the purpose of generating your tax forms. You may withdraw consent at any time by requesting deletion of your data via hello@aupairtax.app. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the dashboard or by contacting us. Upon deletion, all your personal data will be permanently erased within 30 days.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection or data protection laws, including the GDPR.

11. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of AuPairTax after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
